Professor Jānis Spīgulis has been awarded the Certificate of Recognition by the Cabinet of Ministers

On October 28, 2025, the government approved the initiative of the Ministry of Education and Science (MES) to award the Cabinet of Ministers Certificate of Recognition to 27 scientists and education professionals for their significant contributions to the development of science and education in Latvia. The University of Latvia Promotes the Development of New International Study Formats

At the end of October, programme directors of the University of Latvia (UL) participated in an online seminar organized by the Department for International Cooperation, focusing on the implementation and development of Blended Intensive Programmes (BIP) at the University. The initiative aims to strengthen UL as a modern, open, and fully integrated higher education institution within the European academic space.

Uldis Bērziņš, leading researcher at the Institute of Atomic Physics and Spectroscopy (IAPS), Faculty of Science and Technology (FST), University of Latvia (UL), has recently returned from the 5th CERN Baltic Group Conference, held from October 14 to 16 at the Institute of Materials Science, Kaunas University of Technology.
