University of Latvia
Now the largest university in Latvia with more than 16,000 students, the University of Latvia (UL) was founded in 1919. The UL is the highest-ranked university in Latvia, ranked 25th in Europe for student employability, and placed among the top 5% of universities worldwide. It is also recognized for first-rate programmes across a broad academic spectrum. In addition, the UL is a major national research institution, conducting internationally recognized research across the natural sciences, life sciences, and the humanities.
