Student curators

A student curator is a member of the academic staff who supports students throughout their studies, helps them integrate into the academic environment, and introduces them to academic and research life.

A curator provides support with:

• organising studies and planning time;
• using the University of Latvia Library, other materials, and e-resources;
• adapting to the academic environment.

A curator also provides information about:

• current developments in the study process and at the University of Latvia;
• the importance of the knowledge acquired during studies for career development.

Although curators primarily work with first-year students in bachelor’s study programmes, they also help senior students and students enrolled in master’s study programmes resolve various issues.
