Artificial Intelligence and Computing Center

The Artificial Intelligence and Computing Centre (MISC) is a University of Latvia excellence platform in the fields of artificial intelligence and high-performance computing technologies, integrating research, education, and innovation while strengthening the University of Latvia’s position at both national and international levels.

MISC provides high-performance computing (HPC) and artificial intelligence infrastructure, specialised software, and expert support for research, the study process, and innovation. The Centre’s resources and expertise are available to University of Latvia researchers, teaching staff, students, AI solution developers, as well as companies and public sector organisations.

The Centre supports and provides:

  • high-performance computing infrastructure;
  • development and training of artificial intelligence models;
  • large-scale data processing and storage;
  • access to specialised research software;
  • support for research and innovation projects;
  • development of HPC and AI competencies.

The Artificial Intelligence and Computing Centre actively cooperates and builds partnerships with both local and international AI and technology organisations. The University of Latvia has become a member of the Latvian Artificial Intelligence Association (MILA), the Latvian IT Cluster, and has also begun cooperation with the Nordic university community — Nordic AI Hub.
