Erasmus+ Mobility

• Academic eligibility criteria to apply for mobility
  • You are enrolled as a student at UL FST;
  • You are a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral-level student;
  • You are not on academic leave
  • You have no academic debt
  • You are currently not on the other mobility
  • You have foreign language proficiency corresponds to the requirements of the host partner higher education institutions
  • Study mobility does not take place in the final semester of the study programme (the mobility period must end within the first month of the final semester);
  • By the time you plan to commence studies abroad, you will have successfully completed at least one year of Bachelor’s studies.
• Application Procedure
  • If you fulfil the academic eligibility criteria, select the type of mobility.

  • Select the Host University where you would like to go on mobility:

    - For students of Department of Computer Science;

    - For students of Department of Physics, Mathematics, Optometry and Vision Science; 

    - For students of Department of Geography, Geology and Environmental Science). 

    Please note the study levels: P – Postgraduate (Master’s level), U – Undergraduate (Bachelor’s level), D – Doctoral studies (PhD).

    • The language(s) in which courses are offered at the host institution;
    • The courses are available at the selected University.
  • Submit the following documents to the Erasmus Coordinator (bhagyashri_dada.shinde@lu.lv)
    • Application form (e-signed)
    • Motivation letter
    • CV
    • Language proficiency certificate if available

    • Discuss your study plan, number of courses and ECTS with your study programme director (SPD). Send confirmation of the SPD to the Erasmus Coordinator (bhagyashri_dada.shinde@lu.lv).

• Selection Criteria
  • Applications are evaluated through an open competition by a Selection Committee approved by the dean of the faculty.
  • The Selection Committee evaluates:
    • academic performance;
    • motivation;
    • foreign language proficiency;
• What happens after you apply?
  • The submitted documents will be reviewed at a selection committee meeting on 28 September 2026;
  • The results will be announced individually by email to each applicant after 30 September 2026;
  • If you are nominated for exchange studies at a partner higher education institution abroad, please contact the ERASMUS Coordinator of the Faculty of Science and Technology, Bhagyashri Dada Shinde (bhagyashri_dada.shinde@lu.lv), who will provide guidance on the next steps and preparation of the required documentation.
