Conference Section “Geoinformatics: GIS and Remote Sensing” brings together studies on the acquisition, analysis, and application of geospatial data, integrating GIS, remote sensing, modelling, and open data. The presentations address the dynamics of natural processes and landscape change, the use of geospatial data in hydrological modelling and precise calculations, as well as the role of data infrastructures in research and governance.

The section highlights the use of satellite data and open geospatial resources in environmental monitoring and resource planning, alongside methodological issues related to research reproducibility and the justification of sectoral development. Overall, the section provides a concise overview of current trends in geoinformatics and remote sensing and their practical relevance.
