FIRST GRADUATION CEREMONY: for graduates of the Computer Science Department study programmes
On 18 June at 10.00, the first graduation ceremony of this summer for the UL Faculty of Science and Technology took place, where we congratulated 196 graduates of the Computer Science study programmes, including 9 who completed their studies with distinction. The ceremony was led by Guntis Arnicāns, Head of the Computer Science Department of the UL Faculty of Science and Technology.
- Bachelor’s study programme Computer Science – 130 graduates, of whom 5 completed their studies with distinction, 19 received the Rector’s commendation for an उत्कृष्ट final thesis, and 11 received the Dean’s commendation for active involvement in the Student Council;
- Bachelor’s study programme Computer Science [in English] – 11 graduates, of whom 1 completed their studies with distinction, and 2 received the Rector’s commendation for an excellent final thesis;
- Bachelor’s study programme Computer Science [Lincoln] – 8 graduates, of whom 2 received the Rector’s commendation for an excellent final thesis, and 1 received the Dean’s commendation for active involvement in the Student Council;
- Master’s study programme Computer Science [Advanced Programming] – 34 graduates, of whom 3 completed their studies with distinction, 5 received the Rector’s commendation for an excellent final thesis, and 2 received the Dean’s commendation for active involvement in the Student Council or participation in an olympiad;
- Master’s study programme Computer Science – 13 graduates.

SECOND GRADUATION CEREMONY: for graduates of the Geography, Geology and Environmental Science Department study programmes
On 18 June at 14.00, we congratulated 84 graduates of the Geography, Geoinformatics, Geology, Spatial Planning and Environmental Science study programmes, including 4 who completed their studies with distinction. The event was hosted by Niks Stafeckis, Research Assistant at the Geography Department of the UL Faculty of Science and Technology. Associate Professor Ivars Strautnieks delighted the audience with musical performances, revealing his talent as a saxophonist. This ceremony was especially significant for the bachelor’s study programme “Research and Protection of Cultural Heritage,” which celebrated its first graduation with five graduates.

- Bachelor’s study programme Research and protection of Cultural and Environmental Heritage – 5 graduates, of whom 2 received the Rector’s commendation for an excellent final thesis, and 1 received the Dean’s commendation for active involvement in the Student Council and/or the Young Professionals’ School;
- Bachelor’s study programme Environmental Science – 18 graduates, of whom 6 received the Rector’s commendation for an excellent final thesis, and 4 received the Dean’s commendation for active involvement in the Student Council and/or the Young Professionals’ School;
- Master’s study programme Geography – 6 graduates, of whom 1 completed studies with distinction, and 2 received the Rector’s commendation for an excellent final thesis;
- Master’s study programme Geology – 7 graduates;
- Professional master’s study programme Spatial Planning – 5 graduates;
- Master’s study programme Environmental Science – 13 graduates, of whom 1 completed studies with distinction, and 2 received the Rector’s commendation for an excellent final thesis.

THIRD GRADUATION CEREMONY: for graduates of the Physics, Mathematics, and Optometry and Vision Science Department study programmes
On the afternoon of 25 June at 14.00, we congratulated 99 graduates of the Physics, Mathematics, and Optometry study programmes, including 12 who completed their studies with distinction. The event was hosted by Aiga Švede, Vice-Dean for Studies of the UL Faculty of Science and Technology and Professor at the Department of Optometry and Vision Science. Musical performances were provided by the mixed choir “Aura” of the University of Latvia Faculty of Science and Technology (artistic director Edgars Vītols).
- Bachelor’s study programme Physics – 25 graduates, of whom 1 completed studies with distinction, 3 received the Rector’s commendation for an excellent final thesis, and 11 received the Dean’s commendation for active involvement in the Student Council and/or the Young Professionals’ School and/or singing in the faculty choir “Aura”;
- Bachelor’s study programme Mathematics – 10 graduates, of whom 3 completed studies with distinction, 2 received the Rector’s commendation for an excellent final thesis, and 6 received the Dean’s commendation for active involvement in the Student Council and/or the Young Professionals’ School;
- Professional bachelor’s study programme Mathematician Statistician – 13 graduates, of whom 2 completed studies with distinction, 6 received the Rector’s commendation for an excellent final thesis, and 4 received the Dean’s commendation for active involvement in the Student Council and/or the Young Professionals’ School;
- Bachelor’s study programme Optometry – 17 graduates, of whom 1 received the Dean’s commendation for active involvement in the Student Council;
- Master’s study programme Physics – 12 graduates, of whom 3 completed studies with distinction, and 2 received the Rector’s commendation for an excellent final thesis;
- Master’s study programme Mathematics and Data Science – 14 graduates, of whom 3 completed studies with distinction, 6 received the Rector’s commendation for an excellent final thesis, and 2 received the Dean’s commendation for active involvement in the Student Council and/or the Young Professionals’ School;
- Professional master’s study programme Clinical Optometry – 8 graduates, of whom 1 received the Rector’s commendation for an excellent final thesis, and 1 received the Dean’s commendation for active involvement in the Student Council;
- Professional master’s study programme Clinical Optometry [in English] – 2 graduates.
