The sub-topics covered by the section are interdisciplinary, emphasizing current issues in STEM education:
- innovations in teaching & learning approaches of STEM subjects (physics, chemistry, biology, mathematics, engineering, computer science, geography) from primary to higher education,
- assessment of pupils' and students' learning achievements and analysis of assessments in STEM subjects,
- professional development of STEM teachers,
- support for pupils and students in learning STEM subjects,
- the use of digital technologies (including artificial intelligence solutions) in teaching & learning of STEM subjects,
- educational leadership approaches for the sustainable implementation of innovations in STEM subjects.
Anyone interested in issues related to STEM teaching in the broadest sense, from primary school to university, is welcomed to participate in the section as presenters or listeners.
The section will be organized in the form of oral presentations (up to 15 minutes) and poster presentations. Completed empirical studies, work in progress, literature reviews, as well as position papers, are welcomed for the presentation in the section. The section will conclude with a panel discussion entitled "Examination in STEM education - where we are and where are we heading?"
