Dr. E.Grinbergs bija viens no pirmajiem tagadējā LU Matemātikas un informātikas institūta darbiniekiem. Viņa darbi ilgus gadus kalpoja par pamatu kuģu korpusu projektēšanā visā PSRS.

The result has been widely used to construct non-Hamiltonian planar graphs with further properties, such as to give new counterexamples to Tait's conjecture. This theorem was proved by a Latvian mathematician Emanuel Grinberg in 1968.”
