The Faculty of Physics, Mathematics and Optometry at the University of Latvia has been granted accreditation for all study programs in the new accreditation phase for a maximum period of six years in 2023. All study programs in the field of Physics, Material Science, Mathematics and Statistics have been rated "excellent"!

The Faculty of Physics, Mathematics and Optometry of the University of Latvia has obtained accreditation for the study field "Physics, Material Science, Mathematics and Statistics", as well as under the study field "Health Care" for both implemented study programs in the new accreditation phase for a maximum period of six years. Six study programs corresponding to the fields of study have been evaluated as "excellent" and two as "good".

Six study programs are accredited in the field of study "Physics, Material Science, Mathematics and Statistics":

- Academic bachelor’s study programme "Physics”.

- Professional bachelor’s study programme "Mathematician Statistician”.

- Academic bachelor's study programme "Mathematics”.

- Academic master's joint study programme "Physics".

-  Academic master's study programme "Mathematics and Data Science".

- Doctoral joint study programme "Particle Physics and Accelerator Technology".

Both study programmes of the Faculty of Physics, Mathematics and Optometry are accredited in the field of study "Health Care":

- Academic bachelor’s study programme "Optometry”.

- Professional master's study programme "Clinical Optometry"

No significant deficiencies in the quality of implementation of the study programmes corresponding to the field of study have been identified, and none of the study programmes included in the field of study has an unsatisfactory rating, which would prevent the accreditation of the field of study and its corresponding study programmes. Therefore, the Quality Committee considers that the Study Directions and the corresponding Study Programmes have been accredited for six years and that the assessment of the Study Programmes is "excellent" and "good".

The term of accreditation of study programmes implemented by the Faculty of Physics, Mathematics and Optometry in the field of study "Health Care" is: 02.02.2029.
