SUMMARY:26th INM Weekly Seminar
DESCRIPTION:This week\, on Thursday\, April 30\, at 13:00--14:30 GMT+2 (local Riga time)\, our guest at the INM weekly seminar will be Laura Prior from Universidade de Aveiro. The lecture will be dedicated to 4D Printing of PLA/TPU Structures (abstract attached with this e-mail). As usual\, the presentation will take place in Room 520 at INM\, and will be streamed/recorded online via MS Teams:\nINM Weekly Seminar | Meeting-Join | Microsoft Teams\n\nLaura Prior\n4D Printing of PLA/TPU Structures\n4D printing extends additive manufacturing by enabling printed structures to change shape or function in response to external stimuli. By combining different materials with strategic geometric design\, it enables the creation of programmable and adaptive components for a wide range of applications\, including engineering\, healthcare\, and soft robotics. In this study\, PLA and TPU were used in bilayer structures to investigate thermally induced deformation. The results offer insight into the behavior of responsive materials and support the development of more reliable 4D printing approaches.\n\nSee you at the seminar!
